My bike was stolen. :(

It happened to Frankie Bones in his backyard. It happened to Nigel just outside 611 Records. Why wouldn't it happen to me? I am just appalled that they would go into a back alley into our locked back patio, pry open the latch on our gate and steal both of our bikes. I KNEW i should've locked it up even though it was in a locked area. The fact that we were home when it happened is even more irritating. Damn thieves. If I see someone riding my bike I'm going to spray them with my big cannister of pepper spray and kick them off my bike. It's just a cheap piece of crap anyway, but it gets me where I need to go, and now that cold months are approaching, I really needed it... not to mention the expensive lock I had on it. Augh. I'm really in a bad mood now. :(

Thank God the puppy wasn't back there because when we discovered it, the gate was wide open!!

Here's the problem. What if i pepper spray some poor dude who just bought the bike off the asshole that stole it from me? And now I have to scrape together some money to get a new one! Sucks! I am so angry!

UPDATE: I talked to my buddy Frankie Bones and he found me a killer deal on a brand new bike that is better than mine, only $73 for a sick ass 18 speed mountain bike with dual suspension. It may actually be a better thing because my bike needed new brake pads and cables, and calipers for my front brakes. I had the bike for six years and definitely didn't want it to be taken, but Frankie is nice to help me out and even offered to give me a ride to pick it up. :) I am gonna buy at least two Kryptonite locks for it, and it will be on lockdown, even if I am just at home...

UPDATED UPDATE: they were out of that bike Mr. Bones found me. :( So I settled for another one that was also a nice price. :) I also got the two kryptonite locks as I said I would. I forgot how hard it is getting used to a new bike. This one is taller and the gear shift is different (not that I really shift much since the roads are all pretty flat in the city.)

Doggie progress

Since a lot of people have been asking about my dog, here is a little blog on the progress he's making. I haven't taken a lot of pictures because he is still too crazy and gets too excited when I photograph him. He either tries to eat the camera, or they are just blurry, or it's just a close-up picture of some part of his face. But Icarus seems to grow bigger everyday. Yesterday he had his first night sleeping in the room without having "an accident." He knows how to sit, come, stay, and go to his crate. Just to give you an idea of how much he's grown, I finally got him to sit still for two seconds today and took a picture of him.

Here is Icarus on the first day we had him, at 7 weeks old.

Here is Rus today, just five weeks later. That is the same toy as in the first picture!
